Ajay Sawhney is an IAS Officer of Andhra Pradesh cadre (1984 batch). He has handled various assignments in the State of Andhra Pradesh, covering land administration, law and order and quasi-judicial functions, rural development, health & family welfare, communication & information technology, e-governance and elections etc.
He played a lead role in the Total Literacy Campaign taken up in Nizamabad district in the early nineties. He has also catalysed the establishment of the International Institute of Information Technology in Hyderabad and its emergence as one of the premier institutions in computer science education and research in the country. He has spent more than ten years in assignments relating to information technology and e-governance and has led the formulation of innovative policies and implementation of several major e-governance, communications and broadband projects. He has also worked as the Principal Secretary to Chief Minister of AP after the reorganization of the State of Andhra Pradesh.
He has also worked in the Govt. of India as Joint Secretary Training in the Department of Personnel and Training and as the President and CEO of the National e-Governance Division, which assists the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology in the implementation of the National e-Governance Plan, and as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas before his current role as Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
Prior to joining the Bank, Smt. Usha Ananthasubramanian was Managing Director & CEO of Punjab National Bank since 14th August, 2015. She was also Chairman & Managing Director of erstwhile Bharatiya Mahila Bank. Smt. Ananthasubramanian was the Executive Director of Punjab National Bank from July 2011 to November 2013. She was head of the core management team constituted by the Ministry of Finance, Government of India, for coordinating the process of formation of a women centric bank. Smt. Usha Ananthasubramanian holds a Master's Degree in Statistics from the University of Madras and a Master's Degree in Ancient Indian Culture from University of Mumbai. She joined Bank of Baroda as a Specialist Officer in February 1982. During her long career spanning about 34 years she has worked in many important areas of Banking and was closely associated with the transformation project of Bank of Baroda including rebranding and innovative HR initiatives.
Shri Rajnish Kumar prior to his elevation, was the Managing Director of the National Banking Group (NBG) at State Bank of India. In a career spanning over 36 years with SBI, he had held various assignments which include Managing Director (Compliance & Risk) and prior to that served as the Head of SBI Capital Markets, the Investment Banking arm of SBI Group.
Shri Kumar held several key positions across various business verticals like Mid-Corporate Group and Project Finance. He also served as the Chief General Manager of North Eastern Circle of SBI. As a part of SBI's overseas operations, Shri Kumar served SBI Canada and later as Regional Head of SBI's UK Operations. Shri Kumar is a Post Graduate in Physics.
Shri Shyam Srinivasan took charge as the Managing Director & CEO of Federal Bank on 23rd September 2010. He joined Federal Bank, equipped with the experience of over 20 years with leading multinational banks in India, Middle East and South East Asia, where he gained significant expertise in retail lending, wealth management and SME banking.
Shri Shyam Srinivasan is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management, Kolkata and Regional Engineering College, Tiruchirapally. He has completed a Leadership Development Program from the London Business School and has served on the Global Executive Forum (the top 100 executives) of Standard Chartered Bank from 2004 to 2010.
At Federal Bank, he has been instrumental in implementing various path-breaking initiatives which include : Increasing the presence and visibility of the Bank to a national level; creating an inherent capability within the Bank to reinvent and re-implement processes - especially the customer-critical ones, initiating the Total Quality Management Journey of the Bank, focusing on under-writing quality at every stage right from credit selection, incubating the human resource potential of the Bank and so on. Shri Rajkiran Rai G. assumed charge as Managing Director & CEO of Union Bank of India today. Prior to his elevation as Managing Director & CEO he was Executive Director of Oriental Bank of Commerce.
Born on 19th May, 1962, Shri Rajkiran Rai G. is an agricultural science graduate and also a certified member of Indian Institute of Bankers.
Shri Rai has more than three decades of rich banking experience including heading Industrial Finance Branch, Regions and Zonal Offices. He started his career in 1986 as an Agricultural Finance Officer in Central Bank of India and has rich experience of heading various branches at different parts of the country for more than 17 years. On his elevation as General Manager, he was given the responsibility of heading Human Resource Development Department. He was the Field General Manager of Mumbai Zone of Central Bank of India, when he was elevated to the post of Executive Director of Oriental Bank of Commerce.
He was also serving on the Board of Canara HSBC Oriental Bank of Commerce Life Insurance Co. Ltd.
Mr. Rajeev Rishi was appointed the Chairman and Managing Director of Central Bank of India in August 2013. Mr. Rishi is also currently the Chairman of Indian Banks' Association.
Mr. Rishi started his banking career as a probationary officer with Oriental Bank of Commerce in 1979 and was later promoted as General Manager in the year 2005. Post this, Mr. Rishi was appointed as Executive Director of Indian Bank from October 2010 to July 2013.
During his illustrious career, Mr. Rishi has been Director of several leading organizations such as Exim Bank, IIFCL, Indo Zambia Bank, and ECGC Limited to name a few. He has been chairman of the Finance Committee of IBPS and Chairman & Executive Committee Vice President of IIBF. Mr. Rishi was also appointed Member of the Depositor Education and Awareness Fund Scheme of 2014 that was constituted by Reserve Bank of India.

Dr Ramasastri is presently Director of IDRBT, an institute established by Reserve Bank of India for research and development in banking technology. As head of the institute, Dr Ramasastri has been leading initiatives in cyber security, analytics, payment systems. He has recently mentored the white paper on implementation of block chain technology in banking and finance in India. He has been actively involved in the activities of CIO forum, CISO forum and Analysts forum of banks. He is the chairman of IFTAS, a company promoted by IDRBT for providing technology services to RBI and banks.
Prior to joining to RBI, Dr Ramasastri was CGM-in-Charge of Department of Information Technology in Reserve Bank of India. He led the important projects such as next gen RTGS and ADF.
He holds a PhD from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
Is a post graduate in Management having experience in varied fields such as marketing, market research, banking, finance, and Information Technology. His work experience spans the private sector and in a commercial bank apart from the Reserve Bank of India where he has been working for more than two decades. With the advent of technology in banking, he has been focussing on computerised operations of the various functions of the central bank as well as for other banks in the country. Shri Ganesh Kumar was associated with the introduction of technology in the Banking sector - from the introduction of the MICR based cheque processing more than two decades ago, to new payment and settlement systems for the benefit of the customer at large - based on technology. The areas include the introduction of computerised and network based banking functions, pioneering work in the introduction of electronic movement of funds and the introduction of Real Time Gross Settlement in India, introduction of cheque truncation apart from the EDI initiatives of the Banking sector. He is associated with framing the policy perspectives for IT implementation in the Reserve Bank and the Banking sector, apart from providing policy perspectives relating to IS Security, Audit and compliance. He was with the Institute for Development and Research in Banking Technology looking after the initiatives pertaining to IT requirements of the Banking sector, stemming out of Research activities of the Institute. He has also been associated with accounting of the Government and the internal accounts of the Reserve Bank, apart from providing inputs to various Committees set up by the Government.
Mr. Dilip Asbe is the MD & CEO of National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). Prior to this he was the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of NPCI.
He has played a pivotal role in designing, building, operationalisation and management of large scale payment processing platforms like Unified Payments Interface (UPI), Bharat Interface for Money (BHIM), Immediate Payment Service (IMPS) and India's home grown card network RuPay.
He has been involved in setting up payments infrastructure like National Electronic Toll Collection (NETC), RuPay international debit and credit card, Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) platforms using Aadhaar Payments Bridge (APB). He has been instrumental in designing Aadhaar Enabled Payment System (AEPS) and defining MicroATM standards for interoperable Financial Inclusion along with the team at UIDAI.
He has played a leadership role in setting up and management of National Automated Clearing House (NACH) with new functionalities like E-Mandate, Cheque Truncation System (CTS), National Financial Switch (NFS) as well as Cashnet, the first ATM shared network and real time mobile top up systems in India for Euronet.
Mr. Asbe has built high capacity platforms and strong team for NPCI which are processing over 30 million transactions a day. He has been a part of various committees set up by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) (key committees like Setting up of Bharat Bill Pay System - BBPS 2014, Technical Committee on Mobile Banking - 2013, working Group on Securing Card Present Transactions - 2012) and the Government of India.
He has maintained strong networks in Financial Services/Payment Eco-System in the Asia Pacific region since the last 20 years. He has comprehensive knowledge of standards such as PCI DSS, ISO 9001, ISO 22301 Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) and ISO 27001:2013 Information Security Management System (ISMS), operational processes and end-to-end life cycle management for various payment systems.
To his credit there are major achievements like setting up of the infrastructure for Euronet worldwide for Asia Pacific region and for Prizm Payments Services in India. This includes building infrastructure for delivery and setting up of global development centre. He had started his career as a software programmer at Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), Mumbai and then at Western Union (WU), USA prior to working as CTO for Euronet Asia Pacific.
Mr. Nandkumar Saravade is currently working as CEO, Reserve Bank Information Technology Pvt Ltd (ReBIT). ReBIT has been set up as a fully owned subsidiary of RBI for technology management and cyber security for RBI's systems and the Indian banking sector. Till recently, he worked as CEO, Data Security Council of India, a think-tank specialising in cyber security policy research and advocacy. During 2013-15, he was an independent security professional and cybercrime expert, advising Ernst & Young and ICICI Bank. Till September 2013, he worked as Director, Citibank India, heading Security, Investigation and Vigilance. During 2008-2011, he worked as General Manager, Financial Crime Prevention Group, ICICI Bank,where he looked after fraud risk assessment and controls reviews, application screening and vendor due diligence, transaction monitoring, investigations and regulatory reporting and compliance.
Till 2008, Mr. Saravade served with the Indian Police Service (IPS). His last assignment in the IPS was Director, Cyber Security and Compliance, NASSCOM, which involved policy formulation on cyber security and privacy, capacity building for law enforcement, advising NASSCOM members on incident response management and organising mass awareness campaigns on cyber security.
Mr Saravade served in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for seven years, looking after enforcement of the Prevention of Corruption Act, investigation of bank frauds and economic offences. Mr Saravade was awarded the Prime Minister's Baton and Revolver for being the Best All-round Probationer of the 1987 batch of the IPS and also the Indian Police Medal for Distinguished Services.
He has served on several technical advisory bodies, such as the High Level Group on Electronic Banking Controls Governance and Technology Risk Management Standards set up by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), the Cyber Security Project of Government of Maharashtra and Technology Information, Forecasting and Assessment Council (TIFAC) of Government of India. He is a regular speaker at apex training institutes, technical conferences and industry forums.
He holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from Government College of Engineering, Aurangabad as well as a Masters' degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
Dr. N. Rajendran
Dr. N. Rajendran is the Chief Technology Officer in NPCI. In this role, he is responsible for the entire Technology Infrastructure - including operations, projects, infrastructure architecture, data centre management, IT security and implementing key strategic initiatives. Spearheading the technology solutions, Dr Rajendran has been responsible for perfecting NPCI's system, processes and controls that essentially require quality standardization to support the goal of the company that is - 'Touching every Indian by 2020.'
After receiving National Financial Switch (NFS) from IDRBT in 2009, Dr Rajendran played responsible role in carrying out the overall functioning and developed it with utmost care. He efficiently led the transformation from INFINET application to NPCINet, which has now robust architecture and supports over 100 member banks with more than One lakh ATMs and about 100 lakh transactions per day, collectively. He is credited as one of the key founders of National Financial Switch and played crucial role in architecting and establishing NPCI's biggest Payment network - NPCINet. Under his leadership, NPCI has been able to achieve some of the technology benchmarks including - PCI DSS certification project, data centre establishment & data centre migration, new network of NPCI NET for NFS, CTS, RuPay, ACH, APBS, IMPS and AEPS.
With having over 22 years of technology experience, mostly into payment system, Dr Rajendran has managed key portfolios mainly into - designing, implementing and operations at some of the biggest financial networks in the country - Indian Financial Network(INFINET), NFS and NPCINET, which include ATMs, POS, Payment Gateway, Payment Switch, Network Security, Network & System Administration, Infrastructure Development, Information Security Management, and consulting experience with large banks.
He has earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Bharathidasan University, Trichy, after completing MCA and B.Sc in Applied Physics. He has been a member of working group on 'Network and Security Standard for e-governance', and worked as a co-investigator for the R&D project - 'Protocol and Security Frameworks for Mobile Payments', under Ministry of Information Technology.
Deepak Ishwarbhai Amin
Mr. Deepak Amin is the key promoter of Light Microfinance. He co-founded Covelix, Inc, a US and India based international software consulting company, providing services to global enterprise technology companies. Covelix Inc was later acquired by Emtec Inc, a publicly traded software services multinational company based in the US. Earlier, he had founded vJungle, an online software services company, later acquired by Streamserve (now part of OpenText Corp). He has also worked at Microsoft, USA for number of years and led the original Internet Explorer browser team and was also lead engineer for Microsoft Windows Networking. An active angel investor in technology startup companies, Deepak has been a limited partner in venture capital funds based in the US and India.Putting his immense experience with technology to worthy effect, Deepak serves on the Technology Advisory Council of Grameen Foundation for Microfinance, USA, working to uplift the underprivileged by providing access to finance and technology. He has also served on the Advisory Board of National Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (Department of Science and Technology, Government of India), to promote technology entrepreneurship and innovation in India.

Nitin Chugh, 44, is currently the Country Head - Digital Banking and Personal Liabilities Products and Portfolio. He is also responsible for the Inbound and Outbound Contact Centers of the bank, including the Virtual Relationship Manager channel. In his current role, he is spearheading the digital transformation in the bank. He leads the digital banking function which has been working cross functionally with various businesses in the bank, to build and deliver a comprehensive suite of digital solutions and products. He also heads the Digital Innovation Unit which works on new ideas, technologies and solutions. In FY 2014-15, 63% of the bank's transactions were carried out through Internet and Mobile Banking channels, up from 44% in FY 12-13. HDFC Bank, over the last few quarters, has launched a series of innovative and many industry first digital solutions for its customers, cementing its position as a leader in the Digital Banking space.
In his earlier role, he was the head of Retail Branch Banking for North and East India and was responsible for delivering the retail strategy through over 400 branches of the bank, in the region. Prior to this, he was the head of Credit Cards Sales and the Outbound Contact Centre of the bank. As a member of the top management team of HDFC Bank, Nitin is a part of several management committees in the bank. Shri D A Tambe joined State Bank of India as a Probationary Officer in 1987. His initial stint was in Ahmedabad Circle of the Bank during which period he handled various types of operational and administrative assignments. In 2001 he was posted to the Bank's New York branch as Vice-President (Deposits & Remittances). Upon his return to India, he served as Regional Manager of Surat and Circle Development Officer of Bhopal Circle. He was selected to head the Integrated Payment Hub project in 2009 and later the Internet Banking and IT-Infrastructure Depts. He also served as General Manager of Network-I of Kolkata Circle. Shri Tambe became the CGM (IT-Operations) of the Bank in July 2015 and since August 2016 is CGM (IT-Transformation, Collaboration and Marketing) and is responsible for Innovations, Social Media, Project Management, Marketing of I.T. products, etc.
As the Senior Director and Country Head for India at FireEye, Shrikant Shitole spearheads the company's efforts to assist more Indian organizations protect themselves from the consequences of cyber attacks. He is charged with leading FireEye's growth efforts in India.

Keith Swanson is the Director of Fraud, Financial Crimes and Security Intelligence for SAS Asia Pacific/Japan. Keith and his team work extensively with customers in developing strategies and applying solutions to combat financial crime, fraud, waste and abuse, and security initiatives, including public security, intelligence and cyber. Ian Holmes is a Global Lead for Enterprise Fraud Solutions with the SAS Security Intelligence practice.
Previously, Ian gained extensive banking industry leading experience through fraud strategy roles, with specific expertise in payments fraud covering cards and application fraud. His career developed from the 'ground up' to embrace analytics and strategy. Ensuring the bank was best placed to prevent fraud attack Ian gained deep expertise of decisioning systems. Ultimately, Ian became Head of Card Fraud in the UK division of HSBC and was recognised globally by his contemporaries.
Joining SAS in 2011, Ian's global role is to provide fraud expertise to drive the product enhancement; pre-sales and business implementation of the banking fraud solution globally. Ian's team are SME's and solution experts whom support current customers to maximise fraud performance as well as presenting business case capability to potential clients.
Ian's fraud expertise is pivotal in retaining SAS' recognition and reputation in the industry, supporting marketing initiatives and strategic collaboration with key third party vendors is key.
Meetul Patel oversees business and product planning, marketing, and operations for Microsoft's India subsidiary. He is responsible for defining strategy, managing investments, orchestrating the organization, and monitoring the performance of the Microsoft portfolio across Enterprise, Public Sector, Small Business, Consumer, and Partner segments.
Prior to this role, Meetul was the India General Manager for SMS&P (Small & Midmarket Solutions and Partners). In this position, he was responsible for establishing and executing Microsoft's strategy in this fast-growing segment of over 40 million small and medium businesses. Before this, Meetul was the General Manager of Microsoft's Services business in India. In this role, he was responsible for bringing together IT Strategy, Solutions Implementation, and Critical Support services to help clients across industries effectively leverage technology to address their business challenges.
Before joining Microsoft, Meetul spent over fifteen years in management consulting at Capgemini, Oliver Wyman, and Accenture. During this time, he helped numerous Fortune 500 companies identify new opportunities, develop business strategies, and undertake major transformation programs across multiple business functions. His clients included major global players in the Financial Services, Healthcare, Computing, and Communications industries.
Meetul holds an MBA in Strategic Management and Finance from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Physics from the Department of Nuclear Engineering at Rensselaer.
